Cornell President Promises Transparent Investigation, Admits 'We Must Do Better'

In a video message, Cornell University's president addressed the campus community for the first time regarding an unspecified incident, vowing a transparent investigation and acknowledging that the school "must do better." The statement comes amid growing concerns about safety and accountability at the university. While the exact nature of the incident was not detailed, the president's promise of transparency suggests a commitment to addressing any wrongdoing and improving campus policies. The acknowledgment that the university must do better indicates recognition of past shortcomings and a desire to rebuild trust among students, faculty, and staff. The video message is likely part of a broader effort to reassure the Cornell community and demonstrate leadership in handling sensitive matters. The investigation's findings and the university's subsequent actions will be closely watched to see if meaningful changes are implemented.
