Rep. Amo: Trump Must Enforce Russia Sanctions, Stand with Ukraine

Rep. Gabe Amo (D-RI), Vice Ranking Member on the Foreign Affairs Committee, says the Trump administration should act against Russia and argues it has repeatedly failed to clearly stand with Ukraine. In this interview with Kailey Leinz on Bloomberg's "Balance of Power," Amo emphasizes the need for decisive action. Amo says Congress needs to determine whether changes to Starshield capabilities or intelligence sharing impeded Ukraine's defense. He insists that lawmakers should use Congress's power of the purse to demand answers and accountability from the administration. The conversation covers the importance of upholding sanctions and the role of Congress in ensuring that the US remains a reliable ally to Ukraine. Amo's remarks underscore the bipartisan concern over Russia's aggression and the need for a unified response.
