Zelensky Accuses US of Failing to Warn Kyiv of Russian Attacks, Delaying Weapons

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused the United States of again failing to provide advance warning of impending Russian attacks, following fresh strikes on Ukraine's energy and civilian infrastructure on Monday. Zelensky said Kyiv had received no prior intelligence from partner countries that had previously shared such information. He also accused the US of deliberately delaying the delivery of EU-paid weapons. The accusations come amid heightened Russian aggression, with missile and drone attacks targeting critical infrastructure across Ukraine. The lack of warning has raised concerns about the reliability of intelligence sharing and the effectiveness of Ukraine's air defenses. Zelensky's remarks suggest growing frustration with Western allies. The US has not publicly responded to the accusations. The delay in weapons delivery, allegedly paid for by the EU, could hamper Ukraine's ability to defend itself. The situation underscores the complexities of international support for Ukraine and the challenges of coordinating military aid. FRANCE 24's Gulliver Cragg reports from Ukraine.
