Hone Raises $60 Million to Build AI Agents That Own Business Outcomes

Hone has raised $60 million in seed funding at a $285 million valuation to build AI agents designed to take responsibility for entire business outcomes rather than individual tasks. The ambition is a step beyond the task-specific assistants that have proliferated in the enterprise, aiming instead for agents that can be held accountable for results. Co-founder and CEO Moritz Stephan, formerly chief of staff at Cognition, joins Ed Ludlow on "Bloomberg Tech" to explain how Hone creates teams of agents that can operate over weeks or months, learn the context of an organization, and gradually take on more autonomy. He also discusses how the company uses different AI models depending on cost and capability. Stephan outlines why he believes outcome-oriented agents represent the next phase of enterprise AI adoption, and what it will take for businesses to trust software with that level of responsibility.
