Mulvaney: Katie Zacharia Was 'Set Up to Fail' as Press Secretary

Mick Mulvaney, former acting White House Chief of Staff and co-founder of the Freedom Caucus, says the Trump administration "set" Katie Zacharia "up to fail" by not giving her enough preparation before she began her five-day tenure as White House press secretary. Speaking with Kailey Leinz on Bloomberg's "Balance of Power," Mulvaney argues the short stint reflects a preparation problem rather than simply a personnel one. Mulvaney also says President Donald Trump does not necessarily need to quickly replace Zacharia, suggesting the timing of any announcement is a matter of the president's preference. On the question of whether Chief of Staff Susie Wiles remains in her role much longer, Mulvaney says it is "anybody's guess." The segment offers an insider's read on the staffing churn and internal dynamics inside the Trump White House.
