Rep. Wasserman Schultz: Russia Diesel Deal Is 'Desperate'

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) says President Trump's deal with Russia to release diesel supplies is a "desperate political move" designed to help Republicans ahead of the midterms. She argues that the president cares more about his party's political outcome than about addressing the cost of living for Americans. In the same interview, Wasserman Schultz calls Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's plan for the public execution of Nidal Hasan a "sickening, horrific display," questioning how children could be prevented from seeing it. Her remarks add a sharply critical note to the day's political discussion. Speaking with Kailey Leinz and Joe Mathieu, the congresswoman covers both the energy deal and the proposed execution, tying them into her broader concerns about the administration's priorities.
