California Couple Arrested in Surrogacy Child Abuse Case Involving 21 Children

A California couple has been arrested on child abuse charges following an investigation into a surrogacy scheme involving at least 21 children, ranging in age from a few months to 13 years old. The case has been described as "horrific" by authorities, who allege the couple subjected the children to abuse and neglect. The investigation revealed a complex surrogacy arrangement that raised serious legal and ethical concerns. The couple allegedly used surrogates to build a large family, but the conditions in which the children were living prompted the abuse charges. Details of the abuse have not been fully disclosed, but the sheer number of children involved has shocked the community. The arrest has sparked a broader conversation about the regulation of surrogacy and the potential for exploitation. As the legal process unfolds, questions remain about how such a situation could have gone undetected for so long and what will happen to the children now in protective custody.
