Israel Marks October 7 Anniversary at Nova Music Festival Site

Three years after the Hamas terror attack on October 7, Israelis gathered for memorial events across southern Israel, including at the site of the Nova music festival near Re'im, close to the Gaza border. About 1,200 Israelis and foreign nationals were killed that day, and 251 were taken hostage to Gaza. The commemorations honored the victims and reflected on the profound loss and trauma experienced by the nation. The Nova festival site, where many young people were killed, became a focal point for grief and remembrance. DW News reports on the solemn ceremonies and the ongoing impact of the attack on Israeli society. The anniversary serves as a reminder of the enduring pain and the challenges of healing.
