Inside Space Force: The Electromagnetic Weapons Protecting US Troops Worldwide

The U.S. Space Force has granted rare access to a Colorado base, revealing how its electromagnetic warfare systems are playing a critical role in protecting American troops and degrading enemy satellite capabilities around the world. The Journal speaks exclusively with Guardians who have deployed these systems overseas in support of operations in both Venezuela and Iran. The report details how these sophisticated jamming technologies work to create protective bubbles around U.S. forces, disrupting enemy communications and satellite signals that could be used to target American personnel. Tech. Sgt. Joshua Lomax describes the experience of jamming satellites during a mission to protect U.S. forces capturing Venezuelan assets, providing a firsthand account of electromagnetic warfare in action. The exclusive access offers a rare glimpse into the secretive world of space-based electronic warfare, a domain that has become increasingly important as nations compete for dominance in orbit. The systems showcased represent a new frontier in military technology, where the battlespace extends far beyond traditional domains into the electromagnetic spectrum and outer space itself.
