Zelensky Slams Trump's Sanctions Waiver on Russia as Kyiv Watches | FRANCE 24

FRANCE 24 correspondent Gulliver Cragg reports from Kyiv after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged support for new US sanctions and criticized US President Donald Trump's decision to waive sanctions and tariffs on Russia days before they were to take effect. Zelensky said the move will "unfortunately" lead to additional relief for Russia and to further Russian aggression. In a post on X, Zelensky wrote that "the decision to undo all of this, to block all of it, seems wrong to me," adding that it "definitely helps only the Russians." His remarks frame the waiver as a setback for Ukraine's position. Cragg's report from the Ukrainian capital captures the reaction on the ground as Kyiv presses for continued pressure on Moscow.
