Flydubai Security Breach: How Israel's Aviation Security Failed

A decade ago, Israel's aviation security was considered a global standard, but officials now admit they didn't know the names of the crew on the Flydubai flight involved in a recent security incident. This revelation has raised serious questions about the effectiveness of current security protocols and whether complacency has set in. The incident, in which a co-pilot allegedly attacked the captain and tried to seize control of an Israel-bound plane, exposed gaps in intelligence and screening procedures. The fact that officials were unaware of the crew's identities suggests a breakdown in information sharing and risk assessment. CNN's Oren Liebermann reports on the inside story of Flydubai's aviation security systems and the warning signs that may have been missed. The report examines how Israel's once-vaunted security apparatus is now facing scrutiny and what changes are needed to prevent future threats.
