Zelensky: Russia Struck Ukrainian Power Plant Right After Trump's 'Energy Ceasefire' Announcement

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reported that Russia attacked a Ukrainian power plant immediately after US President Donald Trump announced what he called an 'energy ceasefire.' Zelensky stated that Ukraine is prepared to support an energy truce if Moscow reciprocates, describing it as a potential major step toward ending the war. The Kremlin has not yet commented on the proposed ceasefire, which would involve both sides pausing attacks on each other's energy infrastructure. Trump has been urging Ukraine to halt strikes on Russian energy facilities as part of broader diplomatic efforts. The incident underscores the fragility of ceasefire attempts and the challenges of achieving a lasting peace. Zelensky's remarks highlight Ukraine's willingness to de-escalate, but only if Russia shows the same commitment.
